Unauthorized taking of water from the hydrants from day to day is becoming an increasing problem that all distributors of water are faced by.
\nPeople simply access hydrants unauthorized, and that they are allowed to do so because the hydrants must always be available, and all the necessary equipment for unauthorized access to hydrants are available to buy or borrow.<\/p>\n
In fact, this is the amount of water that is impossible to determine, and thus the water losses on the distribution networks often show a drastic increase.
\nFaced with this problem, and in cooperation with several people from the water supply companies, we have produced a solution that will greatly hamper the unauthorized taking of water from the overground hydrants \u2013 overground hydrant protection.<\/p>\n
To insure that the overground protection of hydrants is correctly installed and that the hydrants would still be available to the fire departments, the special keys should be supplied to the fire departments operating the area.
\nTo prevent the abuse of keys, the keys can come with a seal, marked with the distributor label, and this seal shouldn’t be removed unless there is a fire, in which case there must be a police report. This way the distributor can control the use of the hydrants without any problem.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
